Only that which is unreal can be lost or harmed.
Only that which is Real exists.
Belief is only required for that which is unreal.
That which is Real is experienced through direct recognition.

Fear of losing something—anything—is an attachment to that which is unreal.
That attachment is not wrong or right. It simply is—within the story.
You can only lose that which is unreal.
Liberation, Moksha, Enlightenment—can only be a process of letting go.
Releasing. Releasing that which is unreal.
Allowing that which is Real to come to the forefront of ones attention and awareness.

I would be inclined to say that I can only be aware of that which is real.
I can believe in that which is unreal but belief is not awareness.
Belief is part of the story—projection of that which is unreal emanates from beliefs.
